Spanish club is making a difference! After Hurricane Maria and Hurricane Irma hit Puerto Rico, the country was sent into a state of turmoil and destruction. Even a month after the devastating storm, three fourths of the country was in ruins and without electricity or running water.

Spanish club teamed up with National Honor Society, Interact, Student Council, and Students for Social Justice to raise money to send to Nuestra Escuela, our sister school in Puerto Rico. Interact Club raised money with their semi-annual haunted house at the Homestead for the cause.

“When I first heard about it, I was skeptical because I didn’t think students would donate, but we did very well with the money and I’m proud to be part of a school that can do this,” says student Lydia Howe.

In the end, the clubs raised $1,038.00 for Nuestra Escuela. Well done Woodstock!
