New Staff Profile: Welcoming a Friendly, New Face to the Counseling Office

WUHSMS’ new counselor, Sofia Bertocci, leads an active life both inside and outside of the school building.

Sofia lives in Brownsville, and is always on the move. She rides all kinds of bikes, road, gravel, and mountain, and volunteers at the Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society with her nine year old daughter. This year she will also be helping out with the school’s Nordic ski team.

Although Sofia is new to our school she is not new to counseling. She previously worked at Black River High School in Ludlow. On top of that, Sofia is also one of the two 7-9 counselors (Vali Stuntz is the other one), and helps out a couple of seniors with college applications.

When she heard about the job opening at Woodstock she got excited,“When I saw that there was a job opening here I got really excited about the possibility of working here.”

We are very excited to welcome Sofia to Woodstock Union High School!
